The largest circular economy project in Northern Europe
Innovative approach to the upcycling of oil shale ash deposited in Ida-Viru county
For the first time in history, there is a project for turning oil shale ash waste from electricity generation in Ida-Viru county into valuable raw materials. Production waste is used to produce new materials, such as fertilizers and fillers. In the long run, we plan to expand the product range by adding valuable elements such as magnesium. This is a unique and ground-breaking project worldwide — we turn waste into a climate-neutral resource!
Circular economy success story
Imagine a world where waste is no longer a problem but a valuable resource — upcycling of oil shale ash is a revolutionary step towards realizing this dream.
Climate-neutral production process
Explore oil shale ash upcycling — a process that turns industrial waste into a valuable raw material while reducing extraction of new materials.
From waste to valuable products
Our innovative approach turns oil shale ash into ultra-clean products such as climate-neutral calcium carbonate and lime fertilizer.
OSA project at the world's most important climate conference
In 2021, we were invited to attend the world's most important climate conference COP26. For this purpose, we made a short documentary that featured speakers such as Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid, Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson, Head of Sustainability at Ragn-Sells Pär Larshans and OSA Project Manager Alar Saluste.
